Who is Free Edition for?
Free Edition is built for students, educators, evaluators and small teams who want to learn the hospital operating system hands-on. It is not for production use or real protected health information (PHI).
What is the cost?
Free Edition is free to use for learning and experimentation. Production deployments — with real patient data, region market packs and support — are licensed separately; talk to our team when you are ready.
Is there a limit to my usage?
Free Edition runs against a shared sandbox with fair-use limits suitable for learning and demos. Heavier workloads, dedicated environments and on-premise installs are part of a production engagement.
Can I load real patient data?
No. Free Edition is a learning sandbox and must not be used with real PHI. Use the bundled demo seed data, or build your own synthetic market pack to experiment safely.
Is medOS open source?
medOS ships with an apply-first, free-use foundation program — open from day one for qualifying teams. Free Edition is the fastest way to start exploring the platform before you apply.
How do I move to production?
When you are ready for real workloads, we provision a region-specific deployment (on-premise, cloud or hybrid), apply your market pack and run the seed data. Reach out and we'll map the path from sandbox to go-live.
